TODAY is the deadline for Strange Loop talk proposals

24 Jul 2009

I know you’ve all had it circled on your calendar for months. Today is the deadline to submit talks for the Strange Loop conference in St. Louis!! If you’re planning to submit a talk, now is the time.

I am excited about it as this means I can finally let everyone else in on all the great speakers and talks. I hope to have speakers notified and the schedule out next week sometime. I know there will be some hard choices for sure in narrowing down the list.

There were so many great talks submitted in fact that I have extended the conference. Originally it was just Friday October 23rd but I have added the afternoon of Thursday October 22nd to accommodate more talks. There will also be a happy hour, probably at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room, on Thursday night if you are attending. I should also mention again that Alex Payne, API Lead for Twitter will be doing the keynote.

Registration is available now if you just can’t wait to see the schedule. I have adjusted the pricing schedule slightly to entice earlier registration:

  • $75 (now – Aug. 14th, 2009)
  • $110 (Aug 15th – Sep. 18th, 2009)
  • $130 (Sep 19th – Oct. 21st, 2009)
  • $150 (on-site Oct. 22nd, 23rd)

$75 is a hell of a bargain for the conference I have lined up. Don’t miss out!

I also wanted to mention the great set of sponsors that have signed up for the conference and help make all this possible. The two top sponsors for Strange Loop are:

The second tier of sponsors is:

And the final important round of sponsors is:

Many thanks to all the sponsors. If you’re still interested in sponsoring, drop me a line at strange.loop.stl at gmail.com.
