As I mentioned last week, I’m doing a talk on how Terracotta can be used to cluster various aspects of Spring tomorrow (Wednesday June 25th) at the St. Louis Spring User’s Group. The meeting is at the Fenton Maryville University campus and will start at 6 pm. I’m shooting for about an hour’s worth of material, but I find there are always a million possible side topics when introducing Terracotta to people. I’ve learned a lot about Spring while prepping for the talk as I’m relatively new to it.
Also, the first and only book on Terracotta is now officially out (as of yesterday). You can find The Definitive Guide to Terracotta at your usual locations. I wrote Chapter 5 on Caching and Chapter 9 on the Terracotta Integration Module system. I actually didn’t get to read a lot of the final chapters before publication so I’m looking forward to reading it when I get my copy as well. The Terracotta team is already kicking around some ideas for book #2.
