I was in beautiful Reston, VA this weekend for the Northern Virginia Software Symposium edition of No Fluff Just Stuff. I did some talks on Java 7, design patterns, and Terracotta and met a number of nice folks with interesting questions and things to say.
If you were there and had questions, please drop me a comment or an email. I’d be particularly interested in hearing what aspects of the Java 7 talk were most interesting (or least interesting) so I can focus it better next time.
My wife was able to travel with me this time and we escaped out to DC on Saturday and managed to check out the National History Museum, National Gallery of Art, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House. She took a trip to the zoo while I was speaking and got to see the pandas as well. It was a beautiful fall weekend in DC and we had a blast. It was nice just to get some sleep without the kids around in the morning. :)
In all, a fun weekend – catch me next at the Chicago NFJS….
